Knowledgebase: Titan FTP Server
0byte uploads when using Filezilla

Symptom: 0 byte uploads when using Filezilla

Resolution:

The issue is that the main FileZilla connection is hitting an Idle Timeout while a file is being transferred on a different connection.

It only happens when the KeepAlive feature is not turned on in FZ (which is the default).

Enabling KeepAlive on FZ will prevent FZ from generating the error.

There are numerous bug reports indicating this is a fairly widely reported problem with FZ. There were reports from FZ users talking to non-Titan/CS servers and many of them indicated that FZ had the same problem with other servers and that other FTP clients did not have any problems.

Also, make sure you are using the latest Filezilla clients as well as the latest build of Titan/Cornerstone/DMZedge

Note: If you still experience the issue, please open a ticket with Filezilla support.
